Blue Kiss is one of two new hydrangea paintings created yesterday in Flower Mound Studio, and is based on the hydrangeas of the Dallas Arboretum. While this study dried, I started work on an 18X18 hydrangea still life with yellow lemons and purple and blue blossoms. I always love that combination. Today I have a student coming for an all-day lesson, so I'll be heading to my favorite flower shop this morning to see what treasures I can find for us to paint this afternoon. I am really hoping to find some blue hydrangeas! Stay tuned tomorrow and I'll share photos of the big day in Flower Mound Studio, starring, of course, AnnieBee.
