Blue Cascade Hydrangeas is drying on the easel, after a busy weekend in the studio. The helpers and I hosted a visitor all day Sunday for an art lesson. Terry is pictured on my art blog with her sunflower still life, which she painted quickly and skillfully, even though she had to step over a little pug every now and then. We had homemade quiche and then painted geraniums, red poppies, and sunflowers and gerbera daisies. We had a rainbow of paintings to contemplate, and a list of great tips and color recipes to share. The best part, though, was seeing a student take home a painting she was proud of.
