Summers Child Hydrangeas is a new study on the easel, as I lay the groundwork for the new 30X40 still life of blue hydrangeas and red geraniums. These are my two most favorite flowers to paint. The client who ordered the painting came to my show at the Dallas Arboretum two years ago, and has been preparing in her mind the elements of the still life that would be a perfect fit for her home. I'll share some pictures of that large painting soon, so stay tuned to my art blog!
