Blues and Lemons is a new small work in the studio. It was a short day today at the easel, I had to spend most of the day at the dermatologist's office for surgery to remove a skin cancer from my left temple. The doctor said I had clean margins and sent me home with a big bandage, and a warning that I may have a black eye tomorrow. He said it would be perfectly acceptable to wear an eye patch and speak like a pirate, under the circumstances. Thank you to the friends who sent prayers and good wishes for me. Instead of taking it easy, keeping a cold compress to reduce swelling, and not doing anything strenuous as I was instructed, here I am in the studio. There has got to be a medication for this obsessive compulsive painting condition...
