"Autumn Field", this is a small painting, 6" x 8", oil on canvas panel.
I love this field and this tree and the edge of the great pond and the back of the dunes. I come here to paint and sometimes just to look, often. Each time it is different, the season, the hour, the day, the year. I almost always paint this exact same view. Yet it, also, always comes out different each time. It challenges my strengths and weaknesses and, even though I know this scene by heart, still keeps me on my path of discovery...
