Tumbling by Kay Wyne

Tumbling
36" x 36" Oil on Gallery Wrap Canvas
This painting has evolved....into tumbling shapes and colors.
Layers of color bounce around the canvas with shapes painted on top of each other.
After the initial color was painted, I used a palette knife to scrape some paint around.
The butterfly shape appeared, and I started painting portions of a butterfly where I saw the right shapes and colors along with some geometric lines. Then I got the oil pastel bars out...I had just ordered some new ones, and could not wait to use them. I hope that the viewer finds this contemporary abstract painting fun, colorful and interesting. Thanks for viewing this blog! Stay cool.....Kay
