Maroon Bells - en plein air by David Forks

Maroon Bells en Plein Air by David Forks
Oil on Panel, 11"x14"
Just spent a week in Colorado painting at a workshop held by George Strickland. Friday 6/10 was my last day in Colorado, the workshop was over and I was on my own. I painted this scene of the Maroon Bells outside of Aspen en Plein Air in about 2.5 hours. The photos show the painting in progress and my view of one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
