Pequeno is a just a little sunflower that grew on the easel while the hubby was using my computer today to update his phone. I had to paint this little guy from memory, since I couldn't open my sunflower photos from the summer while he was working. I'm not complaining, I needed a bit of a break from a larger painting I had started, and this was like taking a mini-vacation.

They're predicting the COLDEST temperatures in Texas in years will happen tonight. I think I am going to have to make myself a hot chocolate with whip creme, and sit in front of the fire with the puggies to celebrate. Maybe if I cross my fingers and hold my mouth just right, we will have another day off work tomorrow due to icy conditions on the roads. I spent the entire day in the studio today, painting since 8 am sharp when the puggies began demanding brekkies. One more marathon day of painting would be lovely, especially if my little helpers are here all day to keep me entertained.

Wherever you are, stay warm!
