Painted Blossoms Sunflowers and Hydrangeas by Nancy Medina

My Daily Painters Gallery

Painted Blossoms is a new painting in the studio, as I rushed to paint my red sunflowers before they faded. I deliberately broke some art rules with this painting by celebrating direct complements, and placing the three primaries, red, yellow and blue together. I just couldn't help myself. I love bright primary colors! All day today was Sunday. The weekend is not over yet, so I'm going to enjoy my studio and my pugs for a few more hours before it is time to prepare for work again. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend, even if there is just a little bit of it left. Visit my blog to see the flowers that inspired Painted Blossoms.
