Hearts Ablaze is the newest addition to the large sunflower family that resides in my studio in Flower Mound, Texas. I have a bit of hope for my sunflowers in the back yard garden this coming spring, since the sun peeked through and shined on us today for the first time in weeks! Going from 16 degrees to 80 degrees in less than a week is not unusual for Dallas, since the weather here is a bit of a roller coaster ride, lots of peaks and valleys. Will this extra harsh winter push my bulbs and seeds to provide their best blossoms this summer? I certainly am counting on it!
