Normally the coyotes in my neighborhood are very shy and cautious, and we rarely see them during the day (they know we are gunning for them). I saw one 2 days ago, though, just down the road. I actually admire them for their cunning and beauty and only reluctantly approve shooting them when they come into our yard after our chickens. This fellow was fat and healthy and appeared just as surprised as we were to see him.
