I revitalized an old painting this week, and added some darker purple background to the Silver Pitcher of Sunflowers, with a bit of blue hydrangea. This was one of the works I brought back from our trip to The Good Art Company Gallery last weekend in Fredericksburg, Texas. On the way home, we took a detour on the Willow City Loop just outside of town and I took a few hundred pictures of the wildflowers there. The blooms were worth the 5 hour drive from Dallas, all by themselves, though I had a difficult time explaining that to my passenger and studio assistant, AnnieBee. You can see some pictures from this trip on my art blog.
