A few miles from the organic farm where I grew up is a little town called Kemp, Texas. Every spring along Highway 175 some of the most lush bluebonnet fields in East Texas line the highways and meadows near this community. This is a scene from a photo taken two years ago in Kemp when my husband and I and our pug Winnifred Wigglepants were on our way home from a visit to friends in Tyler, Texas.
