Hydrangea blooms are a treasure only found at the local grocery store in Flower Mound this month. The hydrangea tree and bushes in my garden finished flowering ages ago. These purple mopheads were completely unaware their time to shine had passed when I carried them into the kitchen yesterday wrapped in brown paper. They are such resilient plants, with plenty of water and a little sun from the window, they'll lend some color to the studio for a few more weeks, or at least long enough for a few more paintings.
