Mission in California
Santa Barbara Mission, 11.5x10.5 Watercolor Copright 2009 Kay Smith. Painted with a 1" sponge house painting tool instead of professional artist's brushes, this scene was done in less than 2 hours fast, loose, and wet.
Kay, My wife and I lived in Santa Barbara back in 1977-78 while I was attending photography school at Brooks Institute. The mission was one of my favorite places in SB and the location of our early view camera assignments. Thanks for the memories. Larry

Kay, this is a great composition, I've never seen the SB mission painted from this angle before.
